At AutoNation, we believe that our success is not measured by how many cars we sell, but by how many lives we touch. That’s why we are driven to make our communities better every day.
Since 1997, we have supported over 1,000 non-profit organizations by donating over $30 million and committing thousands of volunteer hours. While our focus is on the health and welfare of the family, we contribute to a wide range of worthy causes through donations, sponsorships and volunteer hours.
Our commitment to our neighborhoods reaches from our corporate headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to all of our stores across the U.S. AutoNation’s executive officers are deeply involved with numerous charities and non-profit organizations. Each member of our executive team, as well as many of our senior officers, sits on the boards of a variety of non-profits.
“We have always believed that we must help and support the communities in which we live and work,” began Mike Jackson, Chairman and CEO of AutoNation. “Each year, our associates make a major impact and we are proud of their hard work and dedication to making our communities better places to live, work and raise families.”
To recognize our stores and associates who go above and beyond for their neighborhood, we developed the AutoNation Community Star Award Program. Every quarter, four stores, teams, or associates are selected for their amazing efforts and AutoNation donates up to $1,000 to their selected charity.
AutoNation also realizes that our community extends past our town and state lines. We share a world together. We champion environmental issues in the automotive industry, promote responsible consumption of fossil fuels and encourage the development of new and alternative energy sources.
To help you, our customers, identify fuel efficient vehicles, we created our E-Vehicle sticker. We specially mark every vehicle that either delivers at least 28 miles per gallon or is in the top ten percent in fuel efficiency in its class. Just look for the E-Vehicle sticker on the back of the bumper. Many of our e-vehicles can be viewed on our Facebook Green Fleet page.
From charities to the environment, AutoNation is united in changing our communities for the better now and in the future.
